Just an fyi…be sure that adorable kitty doesn’t lick the oil paint on your palette. I once left mine unattended and my cat licked the paint and got very sick. It’s quite toxic to animals.

2:42 1 coat Extra Heavy Gel Gloss, 2 coats Mod Lodge Lastly a final varnish coat to make the sculpture waterproof.

Does this also make it food/liquid safe? I’m wanting to make a water jug or snack container with air dry clay but want to make sure it’s safe to eat out of. Is there anything I have to look out for to do that?

Do you have any tips to seal the water drain? How to seal the inside part of the drain? I'm afraid I wouldn't seal that part well enough...

How long does each layer of water proof sealant take to dry?

Can this be used in mugs? Is it food safe? I can't find any food safe glaze/sealer

2 layers modpodge, 3-4 layers acrylic water seal

If you were to paint them, would you apply the modpodge on top of the paint? Or would you first do the 2 coats of modpodge and paint on top of that, before sealing it with the Water Seal?

Im just about to get into air dry clay & happen to have dishwasher safe modpodge. With that I wouldnt need another layer of the acrylic seal, Im guessing?! Wicked sculptures! :)
